Love Design and Research

Design and build of eco-houses in Western Australia. For many years we were involved in Eco-Design and Appropriate Technology design and research in several countries in Europe. We are drawing on this expertise with eco-design here in Western Australia. New projects include the design and build of five eco-houses along with some eco-related technology systems.

Steel framing and roof insulation of 60 sqm eco-house (conversion of previous auxilliary accomodation). This eco-house incorporates good solar orientation detailing including clerestory and has layout and design developed following Alexander et al's Pattern Language. The layout  has an airy open plan with defined internal spaces and substantial built in storage. This is one of  four 60sq m eco-designed houses and villas developed  by Love Design and Research.
